I’m back from my six-day Silent Retreat and Contemplative Prayer Seminar in Squamish, BC (where I encountered the same big black bear three times within 12 hours! We were on the same schedule until he decided enough was enough, and moved on).
Do you like to give advice? I hope so, because I have a few questions.
Some of them may surprise you. They’re kind of random.
What kind of mattress do you sleep on, and is it comfortable? (We bought an uncomfortable — and uncomfortably expensive — memory foam mattress)
How do you get rid of fleas when the vet’s “superior” flea treatment doesn’t work? (Our dogs acquired fleas in my absence, and they’re stubborn buggers)
How do you deal with post-vacation blues? (I’m happy to be home, but sure do like wandering the world looking at people and marveling at God’s creativity)
What are you looking forward to? (Whether it’s lunch or an African safari, I’d love to hear what you’re excited about! If you have nothing to look forward to, consider this your job: find something to be excited about.)
What is a problem or pain you can’t talk about, but know you should? (Don’t worry; I won’t tell anyone or share anything about you. I may write a general article to help others dealing with the same pain that they too can’t talk about, but I’d never use your name or specific details).
And here’s a question I do have an answer to: What to When You Don’t Feel Good Enough to Be Loved.
With the love of Jesus,
